危机已对距离项目约一小时车程的迪拜国际机场造成影响，并扰乱了霍尔木兹海峡的航运通道，导致供应交付瓶颈和成本上升。货运供应商正在增加基于风险的附加费，每个集装箱的额外费用高达2,000至4,000美元。永利迄今已在该项目上投资超过9.14亿美元。分析师指出，如此巨额的沉没成本即使在动荡的运营环境中也会锚定企业决策。另一家总部位于拉斯维加斯的博彩巨头美高梅国际也在迪拜朱美拉海滩建造一个耗资12亿美元的非博彩度假村，其在该地区的第二张博彩牌照申请仍在等待中。
